The Gunners recorded their first win of the season in this third division cup game.

Openshaw opened the scoring following good work by Else, arriving late at the back post to slide in and volley the ball home from 6 yards out.

Eaves was the inspiration for the Gunners second as she tried her luck from just inside the Urmston half. Her instinctive effort beat the Urmston keeper but couldn't find the net as the ball came back off the post. However, Esle was on hand to bury the rebound to give the Gunners their deserved victory.
