Despite scoring more goals than the opposition on the day, the Gunners failed to take the points after two of them went in the wrong net. Added to a second half penalty miss, the home side will look back on this game and feel they could have taken something off the third division north runners up.
Holbrook was harshly adjudged to have chinked the ball past Lloyd in the second minute as they both went for the ball at the near post. Penrith added a second before half time after their persistent pressure paid off with a clinical finish from 12 yards.
Woolley was credited with the visitors third, as she flicked on a cross from the left. But just failed to get enough height to clear her own cross bar, giving Lloyd no chance. Penrith put the game out of the Gunners reach as the game reached the final quarter. A well taken goal from 8 yards following a meandering run down the right.
The Gunners notched their consolation with five minutes left. A sublime finish by Else. Taking possession 30 yards from goal the Gunners striker instinctively went for goal, hammering a spectacular shot through a crowd of players and over the Penrith keeper.
